We do not use can liners where BPA is intentionally added. The most accurate term is BPA-NI, which stands for BPA Non-Intent. That means BPA is not intentionally used or added in the lining of our cans. Because our cans are produced in facilities that may also manufacture other types of cans, we cannot claim “BPA Free” in the absolute, zero-trace sense. There is always an extremely small, non-zero possibility of incidental cross-contact in shared manufacturing environments. So instead of making an absolute claim, we choose to be precise and transparent: FITAID cans use BPA-NI liners.
